    Hi everyone,

Longtime reader, first time poster. Have a couple of things I wanted to say.

First of all, I am based in the UK (Glasgow, Scotland) and bought the G73JW-3DE as an import from Gentech PC. I bought it from them because, one, the 3DE is not available in the UK, two, the G73 in the UK (equivalent of the A1 model) is substantially more expensive, and three, on the recommendation of a number of users on this forum. Just received the laptop today and burning the recovery DVDs as we speak. All appears to be working well and the service was top notch. As an added bonus, I never had any customs charges. Kudos Ken Lee and Gentech.

Secondly, I wanted to say a big thanks to all the users on this forum. Whilst many raise issues and complaints, I felt I could enter into this expensive purchase knowing a lot of support was available. Your a great bunch and I look forward to adding my own contributions to the forum over time.

Finally, I realise there are multiple driver posts kicking about, but its hard to sift through and find ones specific to the 3DE model. Any suggestions on what, if any drivers I should update and why? Admittedly though, I will be unlikely to update any unless I encounter problems, but I would appreciate the advice.

    Thanks,

    Pierre2k

I updated my laptop to Verde Notebook Release 265 and didn't have any problems yet. Everything seems to be working as it should. :D

You use the same video drivers as the non-3D users use, the nVidia Notebook driver packages. Also, I'd like to welcome you to my Driver and Application Reference Page (link below) :D I have 266.58 up currently.
