Hi all,
This is my first post in this part of the forums (been lurking the marketplace for a bit). Recently I acquired a new Asus G73sw, and I was wondering if I should be worried about not having a New Revision Certified Design sticker on the laptop or the box. It is still being shipped but I was allowed to see some pictures of both things, and I couldn't find the sticker anywhere...
So, did they stop putting the sticker on newer laptops? Or should I be worried that Im getting a bugged SB mobo?
Thanks in advance!!!

Where are you buying it from?
-
US, I bought it via ebay, from a large online store called Cargo Largo. Model is G73SW-XT1
-
It might be old stock with the old revision. Does it have a proper warranty?
-
The item description clearly had the message that since they weren't official resellers, the warranty may not be honored by the manufacturer.
This store also has several laptops on sale, some are pretty recent, and in every product the same message can be found. -
I'm curious, since it was an official recall by Intel, wouldn't Intel foot the revision bill? Warranty or not? I wonder if its the same deal as the automotive industry.

But still I think that after 1 year, at some point Asus should've stopped putting those stickers. If someone has recently acquired a new G73/53 and can confirm that they have (or don't have) the stickers on the laptop or box I would be grateful.

BUMP~
Anyone? -
Try PMing one of the norebook retailers, they will know (you'll find them here). Or Chastity, she works for Asus.
