    Coming from a G50/Vista.

Don't like the new interface, is there anyway to get W7 to look and/or behave like Vista?

Probably a lame question/issue, but, hey, I'm almost older than dirt, K? And old people don't like change anyway, so...

I just miss the readouts telling me what the CPU is doing, the easy "overclocking" via the Asus utility, and other things that I got used to with the G50. I know this is a waaaaay better performing machine, but....

And, NO, I am not going back to the Core Duo and 9800M, but still, trying to make the transition as painless as possible.

For what it is worth, I have played one game, "Dear Esther", and the graphics were amazing compared to what I was able to achieve with the G50.

The easy overclocking Asus feature is gone, overclocking the CPU is a no go due to the way the BCLK works and if you want to OC the video card, MSI afterburner will do that nicely for ya.

There are gadgets or other utilities like rainmeter that can tell you what the cpu/gpu etc. are doing which is basically what vista had too i think, unless those were gadgets that came with a piece of Asus software. Aside from cosmetic changes, Vista and 7 are extremely similar OS'es, enough that Vista is Windows 6.0 and 7 is Windows 6.1 so pretty much everything that worked in vista should work in 7. There are always exceptions of course.
