NEW CATALYST IS OUT
ATi Mobile Catalyst Download - ComputerBase
and btw new 7zip version is out too
7-Zip Download - ComputerBase
EDIT:
The new Catalyst Control Center features
Catalyst AI Texture Filtering updates
The Quality setting has now been improved to match the High Quality setting in all respects but one; it enables an optimization that limits tri-linear anisotropic filtering to areas surrounding texture mipmap level transitions, while doing bilinear anisotropic filtering elsewhere. This optimization offers a way to improve filtering performance without visibly affecting image quality
The Performance setting has been updated to address the sharpness of the default Quality setting causing shimmering in certain cases. It now provides a smoother filtering option that eliminates most shimmering while preserving the improved detail provided by anisotropic filtering.
Tessellation Controls
Supported on the ATI Radeon HD 5000 Series and the AMD Radeon HD 6000 Series
New settings give users full control over the Tessellation levels used in applications.
The default selection AMD Optimized setting is intended to set the best level of Tessellation on a per application basis. The AMD Optimized setting is designed to help users get the maximum visual benefit of Tessellation, while minimizing the performance impact associated with enabling Tessellation. Currently no applications have been profiled.
The Use Application Settings option gives applications full control over the Tessellation level.
Users can also manually set the maximum tessellation level used by applications with the slider control
Morphological Anti-Aliasing support for the ATI Radeon HD 5000 Series
AMD Catalyst now includes official support for Morphological Anti-Aliasing for the ATI Radeon HD 5000 Series
Support Video Quality settings during Blu-ray 3D playback
Supported on the AMD Radeon HD 6000 Series
Requires Blu-ray 3D player software, 3D supported display and 3D Stereoscopic glasses
Users can now enable the Video Quality settings within the Catalyst Control Center when playing Blu-ray 3D content
Performance Improvements:
Call of Duty: Black Ops:
Performance increases up to 11% on ATI Radeon HD 5000 Series single card configurations with anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing enabled
Batman Arkham Asylum:
Performance increases up to 4% on ATI Radeon HD 5000 Series single configurations with anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing disabled.

Doods, there's a registry fix for that
-
jeahr but i want that amd hold what they say.
-

-
something is up with these drivers...once I installed them I can no longer use my tv as a monitor.....before when I left my tv plugged in any new drivers would make the adjustments...now with these if I plug my hdmi cable into my computer...my screen goes black and no signal goes to my tv...forcing me to hard reboot my G73....anyone know what this might be?....thx
-
1. Open Regedit
2. Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ ControlSet001 \ Control \ Class \ {4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\000
3. Find
"MLF_NA"="0"
"SurfaceFormatReplacements_NA"="0"
"TFQ_NA"="0 -
Thanks for this!!!!!
-
-
l'll try these out, restart afterwards right?
-
yeah reboot afterwards
View attachment Catalyst 10.11 New CCC Options.zip
edit: don't get confused by the name
it's same for all drivers -
already done manually XP, thanks man. Gonna reboot in a bit. oh and +1
-
Any before and after benchies?
-
Well I like the new look and feel...
CCC changed again...
But my Icon on my desktop are better looking with the new drivers.
I also did the MLAA thing, those directions are great and easy for me to follow...
I can not wait to see how WOW looks tonight.
I am almost ready to find that perfect shiny object -
Still The same, no features even after registry edit..
-
http://www.ozone3d.net/public/jegx/201010/hd5870_mlaa_ccc.jpg -
yep still the same, gonna reinstall drivers. brb later
-
-
you can disable it in CCC
p.s Anyone tried Test drive Unlimited 2 ? -
still nothing..T_T why oh why!
-
I just installed the 11.2 but my Catalyst still says 10.12? That a registry issue? -
anyway 11.2 reports them exactly like it should
11.1 was not reporting them
so probably you haven't installed them properly
driver package version : 8.821 -
no MLAA for me too!
-
installed it and felt the difference while playing bfbc2..
bfbc2.. 16xaa at 1920x1080.. 16 AF.. getting up to 33-40 pfs.. -
MLAA is game dependent because some games perform terribly so I wouldn't really call it personal taste when it isn't 100% universal. -
Anyone know why some people can't get it to work with the registry tweak?
I've found like 10 sets of those registry keys and edited every one of them but nothing is working. -
-
Rejoice Friends for I have found the way!!
Here's what you do, go into your CCC and head over to Information>Software
Copy the 2D driver Path to a notepad so you would see which registry to edit.
For some it maybe: :/MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/Class/{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}/0000
For others it maybe: /MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/Class/{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}/0001 etc.
Check CCC first.
Next, click on the start button and in the search box type the word: regedit. Select regedit by right clicking on it and select "Run as Administrator". Goto: /MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/Class/{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}/000[X] (X denotes whatever CCC 2nd Driver File Path tells you) & locate and change the following (right click on it and select modify):
-Change MLF_NA from 1 to 0 (MLAA)
-Change SurfaceFormatReplacements_NA from 1 to 0 (Surface Format Optimizations)
-Change TFQ_NA from 1 to 0 (Mipmaping textures)
-Change EQAA from 1 to number 0 (New AA called EQAA)
Now open up the UMD sub key located /MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/Class/{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}/000[X]/UMD and add the following:
Right click, select new, select string value and enter: MLF_DEF. Then right click on MLF_DEF and select modify. Enter 0.
Right click, select new, select string value and enter: SurfaceFormatReplacements_DEF. Right click on SurfaceFormatReplacement_DEF and select modify. Enter: 0
Right click, select new, select string value and enter: TFQ_DEF. Then right click on TFQ_DEF and select modify. Enter: 1
Right click, select new, select binary value and enter: EQAA. Then right click on EQAA and select modify. Enter: 31 00
Right click, select new, select string value and enter: EQAA_DEF. Then right click on EQAA_DEF, select modify. Enter: 0
Right click, select new, select string value and enter: EQAAMapping_SET. Then right click on EQAAMapping_SET, select modify. Enter: 0(0:0,1:0) 2(0:2,1:2) 4(0:4,1:4) 8(0:8,1:8,2:16)
No need to reboot, just press the windows key and letter "r" to open the Run command, type in MOM.exe Restart. And then boom you are done!Have fun!

Please make another thread for desktop gadgets, don't derail this thread about the new catalyst release. Thanks.
Edit: I moved all the OT posts. Thread for desktop gadgets/rainmeter is here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/555463-rainmeter.html -

I decided to update as it seemed my UVD clocks werent kicking in with 11.1, but after trying some youtube videos they still wont activate. Did AMD/ATI change the way they work? (as even 1080p videos arent lagging at my battery saver clocks of 70/100)
Anyone else experiencing this?
EDIT: Heres an attachment of the most recent video I was viewing, the quite epic CRYSIS 2 Story Trailer
Oh and it seems my CPU load is going up when viewing these videos...perhaps my CPU is now doing the work instead of the GPU and therefore why the UVD clocks arent kicking in?Attached Files:

so far this driver is sound pretty stable so I may give it a shot. Thanks for everyones posts
-
It fixes the divx corruption in WMP when simultaniously playing starcraft windowed...
-
-
70/100 would give me loads more battery time. :/ -
Yeah these drivers have been working well thus far..
The performance is back from 10.12 that seemed to be missing from 11.1a in some titles..
Seem to be a keepers as far as i can tell .
Have not tried much else then gaming though so i cant say if there are other issues .. -
-
Is it safe to assume that these drivers are rock solid?
There are few reports of BSODs on the guru3D forums. :/ -
-
i don't think it is the driver it is the vbios
i have 2D and UVD at 400/1000
New GPU Driver out!!
