So I am trying to install the new NVIDIA graphics drivers but I am getting the error "Nvidia installer cannot continue... cannot find compatible graphics hardware"
I get this same error when I try to install both the driver version 275.33 and 280.26. Perhaps I am not installing the proper notebook version of the driver? I got the link from Chastitys thread.

What's the filename of the file you downloaded?
-
try the custom INF, you can find one easily on laptopvideo2go

Yep. G53SW have a different dev id which is not included into verde notebook package, since its made to be managed from asus itself.
Thing that doesnt happen because they dont even care about uploading new drivers. -

I was wondering why I never see new drivers on the ASUS live update utility... -
they rarely update new drivers on there...
-
So how would I go about getting the correct driver if the one I downloaded is not correct.

I'm actually having a similar problem.. I've already tried to download the modded inf from laptopvideo2go but whenever I try to download any inf from their website (regardless of which web browser I use) it gives me the error: Error: The request for 'blahblah' was not found on this server. Could someone possibly post a direct link to the modded inf? I followed a link to one for the 275.50 driver and for some reason that let me download it... I swapped the normal inf file for the modded one and it installed fine, but I was disappointed when I discovered that I actually lost performance with the update. I'd really like to try the most recent driver and see if that helps.
westerf4, you need to go to laptopvideo2go.com and download a modded inf for whatever driver you're trying to install. After you download it you have to try to install the driver, let it fail, then navigate to C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver. From there find the driver you want to install and replace the nvwi.inf file located in the Display.Driver folder with the one you downloaded. -
I added a modded 280.26 pack to my Driver page for those with OEM issues.
