Couple quick questions. I'm getting a SSD to put into my g73jh.
1 - I'm assuming I should do a fresh install of Win7, yes?
(edit: getting a win7 iso from here: http://www.w7forums.com/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads-t12325.html )
2 - With a fresh install, and a fresh SSD, will I need to reflash any Bios (vBios/etc.)?
3- Does anyone know of a solid link to the drivers disk (that never came with my g73)?
(edit2: Oh, I see tijo made a post some time back with pretty much what I was looking for here, http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...40272-asus-g73jh-driver-disc.html#post8334226 )
Oh, and say I wanted to transfer over some files from the old HDD to the SSD, for example, my Starcraft2 and possibly GW2 files. What is the best way to go about doing this? Copy/paste? Or a fresh download (admittedly I would prefer to not go the download route as my internet is crap at the moment)?

You can use/copy your old Windows7 but it can be "dirty" and slowly
Just install fresh Windows 7 and use 100% of your SSD
You needn't reflash your bios - but if you not have .213 bios just upgrade motherboard - better control fans, its better
Drivers disk ? all which you need you can download from ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- but change language (its in my - Polish language)
That's all?
Aww... if you want copy of installed Starcraft you must have old register/old Windows - if only ISO - just copy it -

It's for a g74, but it should give you a decent amount of information. -
OK, questions 1 and 3 were easy enough. Just confirming my own thoughts. Question 2 I asked because I have already flashed my g73 to current bios (.213 etc..) and was wondering if a fresh install of the operating system onto a fresh Drive that was becoming the new boot drive would require me to reflash my bios.
So, I'm left with the question that I have no experience with. Moving data from the old drive (which will be in drive bay 2) to the SSD. I would like to have 1 or 2 of my games that I use frequently (every other day on average for SC2) on the SSD. But, since I'm in a low speed internet service area (1536Kbps down) for the next few months, downloading the games fresh from battle.net would take me days, and by days we're talking 4+ at least. Hence why I wasn't sure if copy/paste would work from the old drive to the SSD.
New SSD install.
