Hi all! Just bought my GM501GS last night after months of deciding between models. Really happy with the purchase thus far. For fellow owners or people who just know what's up (first gaming laptop in over 8 years), what should I definitely be doing to make sure I have it set up and tweaked properly? Here's what I've done so far:

    1) updated what drivers i knew i needed to update (chipset, nvidia, not sure how to do bios though). How do i know what I'm missing here? any way to make sure I have everything totally up to date? Is device manager good for this?

    2) any thoughts on undervolting? I tried going with Bob's recommendation of -0.125 on the core and -0.050 on the cache but caused BSOD when i would try to run prime95.... first time undervolting so any tips would be awesome.

    3) I'm running Prime95 stress test at the moment and averaging about 75-77 C on the cores in overboost - is that OK? my clocks are averaging around 3200-3300 MHz. no undervolting yet, no repaste. Would be open to doing this stuff, again, i'm just a scrub in this department (built computers in the past and would be comfortable repasting but lost on the undervolting bit).

    4) tried to remove some of the bloatware but honestly should probably do a clean install. any guides you recommend on doing this? how do i maintain my win10 license? is a clean install good for performance or just good for cleaning up disk space?

anything else? Really appreciate your time, thank you :)

edit: added clock speeds on prime95 stress test

Usually, graphics driver would be the first thing to update. Other than drivers, you should update BIOS firmware as well.

Will leave other experts to answer you on this.

    This temp is great.

Clean install is the better option. Product key is embedded in the BIOS so Windows will self-activate once it's on the internet.
