    Well pc has been great for 2 years, 2 weeks ago HD died, and was replaced.
    Still have some issues from recovery, But this is directed at Random Power offs with battery and plugged in.

    PC will just power off. no error messages. When I reboot it goes to the computer unexpectedly shut down.use safe mode... ... or normal

    Normal will reboot back ok.
    Any ideas

    Does it go into windows or not even post? Does the power button always work? My g71 had this kind of problem before turned out a new hard drive was the problem for me.

    Yes. I can boot into windows with the recovery disc.
    My problem is: after the computer has been on AND running well, It will just POWER Off.
    the power button always works.Yes
    this power off,,, happens well after the pc has booted.
