G73JH-A1 don't have Blu-ray, while A2 and A3 have one. 1800$ for that is really crazy.

I believe you're mistaken. A1 has bluray; A2 doesn't have bluray. Never heard of the A3 until today, so if what newegg posted is true, the A3 also has bluray.

As already mentioned in the other thread, it's likely a misprint.

I believe the A3 has the new hybrid harddrives.

You mean for $50 more you get a Blu-ray drive and two hybrid drives. Sounds like a great deal. :)

Maybe it's a one day only deal or until the discovery the error?

Assuming its the new hybrid drives on A3. Source?
Anyways the new hybrid drives doesn't beat my SSD.

But it costs 4 times less than your SSD and offers over 3 times the storage capacity :)

The whole point of hybrid drives is to provide a middle ground between SSD and standard mechanical HDDs. Not everyone can afford SSDs at the moment and until then, most people are more willing to spend the extra $30 for a reasonable performance bump rather than diving into a good portion of their paycheck on a SSD.
