Hello guys I'm going to buy one of The medion Erazer notebooks brand but after alot of reaserches & tests Taken from Notebookcheck.net it's said that the x6813 cpu Can throttle at some points ( comparing it with the older version x6811 ) .
Here you go :
x6811 specs : -
Intel Core i7 740QM 1.73 GHz
6144 MB, 3x 2048 MByte DDR3 (1333 MHz)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M - 1536 MB
The processor and graphics card both reach a temperature of around 80ºC during our several-hour-long stress test using the tools Prime and Furmark.
It says there is no throttling from the Cpu during those hard tests .
price = 1000 Euro
x6813 specs :
Intel Core i7 2630QM 2 GHz
4 GB Memory
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M - 1536 MB
Under full load, the Core i7-2630QM and the GeForce GTX 460M settled in at around 70 and 80°C respectively. Unfortunately, the comparably low temperature of the processor is likely attributed to throttling . In the stability tests with the Furmark and Prime tools, Intel's quad-core clocked down temporarily to a paltry 800 MHz.
Price = 1100 Euro
I'm now confused because How come a new Model cpu Throttle and an old version doesn't . beside the Intel Core i7 740QM has shown a decent preformance during playing games and the difference in FPS is Completely unrecognized comparing it with newer version of Intel Core i7 2630QM ?
Now When you see both models of course you will say the x6813 is better Cause it has a new Cpu and it produces relatively less heat . but it has a cpu throttling issue ( that's my main Concern & i need more feedback or advises if possible ) because i don't like when i lag during games .
If someone is experienced in Cpu throttling field and could help or advice
it would be really appreciated it .
Thanks in Advance .

This is not a Median forum. Contact your reseller or Median... logical or common sense would dictate that.
Most advice you'll get here is try using Throttlestop. Google it.
Next time find the right forum... -
But i read that Throttlestop may damage your cpu that means there are risks using it . please enlighten me more
also why the i7 740QM don't throttle like Intel Core i7 2630QM ? any feedback from Asus g53sw/jh users are noticing that ;
i7 740QM : don't throttle
i7 2630QM : throttle -
''Throttlestop doesn't kill CPU's, man kills CPU's''

Snappy comments that offens many inserted here about stuff

ThrottleStop won't kill your CPU.
-
So someone asking why a G53 doesn't throttle but it throttles in a Medion, is stupid because that's something you'd have to ask Medion about. And asking why a Medion laptop throttles in an Asus forum doesn't make any sense either. Only Medion and Medion users would know the answer, not Asus or Asus users. -

Not a single user has contacted me about killing their CPU while using ThrottleStop. One user probably killed his motherboard but he had an Extreme processor and he was overclocking it to the moon. When you are going for world records, stuff happens. The two processors you mentioned are not Extreme processors. You can't overclock them using ThrottleStop so you should be OK.
The 2630QM is a much better processor. I would go with that one and use ThrottleStop if you need to manage any throttling issues. Prime95 + Furmark is an excessive load for a laptop. When gaming you will probably be fine as long as the cooling solution and power adapter are adequate. Quite a few of these newer laptops can benefit from repasting the CPU and GPU.
Unfortunately I am not familiar with the laptop you are interested in so I can't guarantee you that it won't throttle. -
Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Mine throttles as well, thanks god there's TS.
No throttling in i7 740QM but i7 2630QM (need Help & advise in general)
