Went from stock drivers to Ati's? In any case it 100% normal and fine, as long as your temps don't get to hot with the new drivers.
-
I got some weird Grey screen and flickerin during Starcraft 2, I updated both bios and just Ran a 3dmark06
is 12292 decent? I have 720 and not overclocked anything, pretty stock.
Anything I should do to improve? -

12k is standard for the g73JH.

well I only played another SC2 game and didnt not crash so I suppose its ok!

You *need* to make sure you've done the vbios update (or doublecheck to see that you've got an old revision of the card).
Since the vbios update gives a few more clock states, it's quite handy to do no matter what. -
The modified vbios hampered my performance and stability.

heres the official vbios update if your interested in trying it. boosted my fps by 1 in furmark about a 3% increase
If your not comfortable with flashing and it isn't crashing or glitching out then just keep it the way it is. -
Your problem with stability is that it sounds like you are running the stock drivers from Asus, or 10.1 Asus. If you run the newer vBIOS with old drivers, and especially with an old motherboard BIOS, you will crash like mad.
So please, don't be suggesting to people solutions if you don't know exactly what you are offering. -
and there for I thought it was an updated one. I am sorry for any confusion I might have caused. I'll edit my post if you think its necessary.
After switching to the vbios I post above I gained 1fps in furmark and about an 3% increase in my heaven benchmark.
Then I tried this G73Jh GSOD Vbios Update and I would get wavy lines through my screen if I was gaming or benchmarking (never did get the waves in furmark though)
I was using the newest 11.2 drivers from ati's website and the 211 bios.
The reason why I switched from my original vbios was because I would start getting gsod if I used the 11.2 drivers. I was fine using the 11.1 drivers. I thought that was weird because don't they use the same video drivers in the 11.1 and 11.2 ??) -
I flashed my vbios and my bios, is there a way to know if this properly worked?
-
load up your bios and check the version numbers.
Not showing 5870
