I have the subject GPU in an ASUS G50vt-a2 laptop. I've recently experienced video issues, which are apparently heat related. Is there a history of these GPUs having overheat issues? Thanks.

Have you cleaned your fan and vent with compressed air?

No that gpu should run fine, as should all. Have you cleaned out that notebook anytime lately?
Also Re pasting the gpu will help a TON.
