Just got my G51vx replacement power adapter, and in addition to losing 2 feet of cord, this one has no third grounding prong. Is this much of an issue? I've briefly looked around the net but couldn't find anything to indicate it is a catastrophe.

You might notice some 60Hz buzzing on your audio ports. Other than that it's no issue. Does the adapter brick itself have 3 prongs on it out of curiosity?

I have seen several Dell (factory original) adapters having only 2 prongs (i.e. no ground). Should not be a big deal.

No, just prong outlet and input (to adapter).

It feels cooler to the touch than the old one, so that's nice but really wish I didn't get shafted with the cord. Since I bought the cheapest I could find, I guess I shouldn't be surprised Haha
