This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    This may be a bit off topic for normal threads but I feel as if I had to share this with everybody that was ever thinking about upgrading their ram to 16gb for their G series notebooks.

    Newegg is runny a promo today for gskill 8gb ram for $39.99! It's 10666 which is the same as 10600 (FYI) so the compatibility is not an issue. I've been buying gskill for years and not one ram chip has let me down. I feel as if I'm promoting this but really, it's a great deal.

    You know if you could buy it and then sell it to ME using eBay it would be great... But I doubt that anyone want such a headache :)

    Gskill is the best ram, it ram made for gamer, i have it in my gaming desktop and it is flat out amazing. Good find OP!
