It does seem to recognize there is a disk installed there. Can you right click on it in disk management then initialize it?
If you have not done any changes to it and it was working fine, then the hard drive itself could have gone bad. You can physically take it out and try it in another computer to see if it recognizes in there.

You could try physically reseating the drive to see if that helps but yes if that does not work I would say it's a bad disk.

Opening up the bottom should not void your warranty, just be careful as any damage caused while doing so is not covered under warranty.
Are both your hard drives identical size?

Gave my laptop to Asus service centre. I am noob at hardware stuff so didnt take much risk. I accidentally removed both HD without removing the battery. Would that have effected the system?

As long as the computer was powered off when you removed the drives that should not have effected anything.

If you are not happy opening the machine, handing it over a service centre is always the smart plan

Thanks Hutsady and Meaker. Yea i am not into hardware stuff. This is second time my g750 gave me problem. First Windows got corrupted and now HD. I am done with Asus or laptops altogether. My previous HP pavillion gave me no problems for about 6 years i didnt care for that laptop as much as i cared for this one and this one gave me 2 serious problems in one year.

    lets see what happens.

All computers can have such issues, but the stress of moving around does make especially hard drive a bit more vulnerable.

You are right. What a coincidence that was. The previous day of disaster i was checking the HD failure rates and the next day my own HD failed.

If you can grab them SSDs are much more resistant to physical shocks over time of course.
