Hi there, well i have came to a conclusion that its time to get a new laptop, so i have decided to sell me old Sony vaio NW and get something thing that would be better for gaming, however i have only about £500 to spend and i know that is is not that much for a gaming laptop. My dad used to have an Acer 6935 which was just fantastic, but the motherboard has overheated and he had to exchange it for something else, my point is, that this Acer was just wonderful, we have played few games like dark mesiash on full graphics and it went all smooth.

I have found two laptops that do suit my budget, but i can't seem to decide what would be better, so if you could have a look at both of them and let me know which one would be better i would be more that thankful for that. As mentioned before i am looking for a gaming laptop, here are the links:

    ASUS K53SC-SX307V
    And

    Acer Aspire 5750G LX.RAZ02.136

I hope you can help me to decide, thank you.

you would have to know what kind of game you are going to play. some games are more CPU dependent such most MMORPG, so the Asus with a 2.4-3Ghz would be better.

Neither of those are gaming machines. The Acer has a better GPU/RAM and more HDD space, whereas the Asus has a better CPU, but a rather terrible GPU. If you want to game on a laptop on a budget, look into getting a refurbished Asus G-series notebook.

I don't know where you'd want to get this in the UK, but: Newegg.com - Recertified: ASUS G73 Gaming Series G73JH-RBBX05 Refurbished Notebook Intel Core i7 720QM(1.60GHz) 17.3" 6GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870
