Hey guys, I currently own an ASUS G73JH BST-7, I have had it for about 2 years now, and it is in great working condition. Never had an issue with it, everything works extremely well, until recently I plug in the AC adapter to charge the battery. When I plug it in it says "Plugged in, not charging" It is usually at 60-65% charged, but I want it to go to 100%. EVEN when I turn off the computer and let it charge for like 3-4 hours it only does it to a maximum of 65% and not 100%. Not sure why and when I plug in the laptop it will charge until 75% or so and stop charging, I just want to charge it fully. How can I change that any one help out? I have been looking all over on google, and youtube solutions, tried several now and none of them work.
Thanks guys, hopefully someone will know the solution. My BIOS is up to date as well.

Get a free utility like batterybar and see what the wear level is on your battery. If you run linux you can find the capacity (subtract from 100 to get the wear level) with
Code:upower --dump | grep capacity
If the capacity/wear level hasn't improved by doing this reset on the battery, it is probably time for a replacement. -

Hello ChrisToePha, can you check your current battery wear level using HWiNFO64? You may check it at the Smart Battery section on the tabs located at the left. This "not charging" phenomenon usually happens to me when I haven't used the battery for quite a while, then I plug it on the notebook (without connecting the power brick), then power it on and connect the power brick after a while.
What I do is I first remove the power brick on the notebook. Then I unplug the power brick from the AC outlet. Afterwards, I remove the battery from the notebook then I press the power button for as long as 10 seconds then connect the battery again. Power on the notebook, then connect the power brick to the AC outlet then to the notebook and check if it is now charging. I hope this works for you. -
I tried JehutyZeroshift , ALLurGroceries and they did not work
I think it is time to order a new battery for this baby, anyone know any really cheap sites?

I have drained my battery to the point where it shut off, and charged it and after 4 hours it was at 65% when I turned it back on, does it make a difference if I go to the BIOS setup menu?

Yes as that would drain the power from the battery left from the notebook's hard shutdown. That would make sense if you want to do a complete discharge and charge cycle in order for you to determine if charging would be back to normal or not.

I did, that JehutyZeroshift, and I charged it instead of the typical, 65% it went to 69% this time, it improved by 4%.
