Hello there all.
Sad to say, but it seems my poor G73JH has one foot in the grave and I'm going to try and get it repaired. But depending on how much trouble it is to get done here in Japan (most likely a lot), I figured it'd be best to start looking for a replacement.
I'm on a bit of a budget, but there are two laptops that I've had my eye on.
Asus G75VW-BBK5 - $1250 (Best Buy - shipped via a friend)
ASUS N76VZ-DS71 - $1221 (Xotic PC - direct shipping available)
I'm strictly an MMO gamer, and the games I do have, the G73JH has played them beautifully, so I think either of these two laptops will suffice, and they both have 1 TB of storage, so I'll have no worries transferring things over and running out of space. But from an overall view, I'm no longer the pc spec guru I used to be, so I'd like to hear your thoughts on these two laptops.![]()

If you're open to other options than asus, i suggest you open a thread here: What Notebook Should I Buy? - A Laptop Buyers Guide

I considered other laptops, but another big reason for Asus (aside from great quality products), is the global coverage should something happen to the laptop. There's a support center here in Japan I could take the laptop to should something happen, and if it were any other brand I'd more than likely have to do a lot of back and forth overseas should I need repairs under the warranty.

Personally for under $1400 I would look at this system GenTech PC - Sager NP9170 (Clevo P170EM) w/nVidia GTX670M/675M.
The N series ASUS are not really gaming oriented ... from what I have read they are geared for entertainment -
As much as I enjoyed the Sager / Clevo brand of laptops (my first actually), I'm trying to avoid the international hassle. So, if the N series of Asus is more "entertainment" oriented, the Asus G75 from Best Buy would probably be a better bet?
Edit:
The G75 from Xotic PC is also pretty tempting as well. -
Since you stated that those games run beautifully on your G3JH, I'd say a G75VW with either GTX660M or GTX670M will work for you, not to mention both GPU are stronger than the HD5870M in the G73JH.
Possibly upgrading from Asus G73JH
