I bought an Asus G53SW and now have a problem with the power cord. The computer swaps back and forth from being on power to on battery depending upon a bump on the cable. I have a 90 degree converter on the laptop and it only charges IF I have the cable some specific angles. I thought it was the converter and they sent me a replacement.

I'm thinking that the pin for the power is busted or damaged where I can't see it or something else inside the laptop is damaged around the power cord connector.

Should I RMA this or is there another way to fix it?

That actually sounds like the connector inside may be loose. With an issue like that, it is generally best to RMA the unit. If you are still under warranty, that is the kind of thing that ASUS will generally cover. I would recommend contacting your reseller to set the RMA up.
