    Hello,

Is it possible to remove profiles in Power 4 Gear? I'm trying to use just 2 instead the 4 profiles avaliable. Also, is there a difference to use power 4 gear instead the windows power profiles?

A lot of power profile are annoying me. :(

Then just use the two power profiles. What's the problem? Because there are four you HAVE to use all four?

Is this something like you have two hamburgers in front of you, you HAVE to eat both, can't just eat one?

but I need to cycle through 4 profiles even if I use 2.
And windows have like 6 profiles now.

I don't know. I tried deleting the other two profiles from the cfg file in the programs folder and restarted p4g but it had no effect. I then restored the cfg back to its original just to make sure I don't have problems in the future. Someone better with software might know how.

I dug around all the user appdata trying to find a reference to p4g but no beans. So I'm at a loss. My guess is that since it is built into the user interface there is no way to take it out or disable it, but I could be wrong.

If you remove power 4 gear ASUS twin Turbo will no longer work. NO great loss IMO. I would just remove the program. I use High performance all the time with a few minor tweaks and downclock with CCC Powerplay.

I know windows power management does the same thing but I like P4G because I can use a hotkey to switch between profiles.

@creyssonbr: I'm going to jump in safe mode and screw around in the registry for a while. Just made a backup of it in case something goes sour, but since it's just an add on program I don't think I'll jack up windows too much. I'll let you know if I find anything.

I use 2 profiles setting 1 Plugged in and 1 unplugged.

Once I plug in it sets it self and once I unlug it sets itself again..

It doesn't look like P4G can be edited. I apparently don't have the permissions to delete the registry key I found encompassing all the settings for the undesired P4G power plans. I tried, sorry.

You can delete power plans from windows though, just click here for directions on Microsoft's site.

P4G is pretty useless IMO. Windows does the same exact thing on it's own, P4G has twin turbo but really it's not that big a deal. I haven't touched P4G since I got my G73.

On the other hand I frequently use P4G. I just use Fn+Spacebar to cycle through the power profiles.

I don't even notice it much anymore and the keystroke becomes habit. I use High Performance and Quiet Office most of the time.

Echoing other claims that losing TwinTurbo is no great loss.
