Power4Gear not working

Hi guys

First of all I would like to thanks for the awesome information I found on this forum that allowed my G73 to now run FFXIV without any problem.

I update Bios and Vbios to the latest version last night. Keyboard light went missing after that but after i did another Bios update it came back on

I remember reading somewhere about Power4Gear is not a good program so i went ahead and uninstall it, now I can't get it back lol.

I tried to reinstall ATK files from Asus website, as well as P4G file from one of the active member, and the CD that came with the laptop. It will install but when I press P4G button on the left hand corner the icon will not show on the middle of the screen no more.

Sorry for the long intro but here's my question:

1) I know I can set the P4G in Bios. However, when i set Turbo does it means it will run turbo the entire time untill I go back into Bios and change it back to Normal?

2) G73 play FFXIV smoothly but when i try Prince of Percia, the GPU tempt will spike up to 102-103'c and the fan started kick in. Is this normal? I do not have heat issue when i play WOW, or SCII.

Out of Curiosity i ran FFXIV on window mode and this is what I found 1min into the game ...

Should i think about Repaste or sending it back to Asus lol

GPU ideal at 68'c and 106'c while in game ... around 99 on character personalized screen..

Please Help I am getting worried.

P/s: No GSOD aftre i update BIOS and VBIOS. Gonna get TT23cm Cooler and thinking to repaste. When you repaste do you void the warranty?

Yes TwinTurbo will be enabled until you turn it off either through Power4Gear Hybrid or with the TwinTurbo button.

Is what normal? The fan kicking in is normal. IMO the temps are a little high though - pushing the limits!


If you have the Asus driver/utility CD then you should be able to install everything from that. Use Control Panel/Programs and Features to remove "ATK Package" and "Asus Power4Gear Hybrid". Reboot, insert the driver/utility CD, and choose to install those two.

I did uninstall Power4gear and after that I can't get it back lol.

I am getting very worried bout my GPU tempt now, when i run FFXIV, it is round 106'c ... what should i do ...

for some reason my screen ain't showing up here either...

Also Chastity I just clean out all the dust from my G73 and now the GPU idle at 62'c and stay at 95'c when playing FFXIV. You think i can get away without repaste lol? (Look like a very complicated process :S )

Anyway for Power4Gear to reinstall properly do i have to unistall all ATK and reinstall them as well?

Last question lol,you think TT 23CM notebook cooler gonna help at all?

Updated to newest P4GHybird.

Now there's a gadget on the wallpaper, but the left hand Turbo button still does nothing :s
