I have an Asus G50v that i picked up a little over a year ago. The other day, I was gaming for a little while, and when i unplugged my laptop to move into another room, i noticed that my dc power input thing looked like it had broken off inside the laptop's dc jack. The little plastic ring that is on the end of the input broke off inside there and I couldn't get it out at all. So, I completely disassembled my laptop and removed the dc jack. Now, I can't find any place to buy the dc jack from. I've found plenty of websites, but none of them carry a jack for my model of laptop. Does anyone know of a website that would carry it? Or maybe the jack is just listed under different models, but can be used for mine as well? I'm not sure where to go from here, but any help is appreciated.

You may find it here:
Asus Laptop JacksI didnt' actually search this site but have been succusful in the past. Look at them closely I believe any G series should work. Good luck. -
I checked out the website and found one for a G series. It says it works on G60, G71, G72, and G73. It looks very similar to mine in size and shape, but the front of it looks a bit different. Mine has a metal covering over it and in the inside, but the one on the site doesn't have that. Do you think it would be safe to get one of those?

AFAIK those models share the same DC jack so it should be compatible.
