    Problem with sound on G73Jh

    Hi-llo guys ;) Im new here and Im proud to be member of this forum :) I was visiting this forum as guest for long time, because I was looking for every possible information about Asus G73 laptop. And now I have it and some problems occured.

    Today I decided to try Driver Genius software to update my drivers. Probably mistake. Everything went good till i didnt try to play/listen game/music on my headphones (Koss PortaPro). Speakers are working good I supose but when I plug in my headphones I can hear sound from them and from speakers (or maybe is just soobwafer) too. I tryed to reinstall realtek drivers but nothing helped :( Im desperate !!! And there is no realtek icon at down right corner (small brown thing). I running Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Thank you in advance for any help my friends ;)

    Dear Filip, it would appear u dont have the realtek drivers properly installed. This has happened to other users as well. U need to run the realtek installer again.

    U need to run the installer twice for it to work. First time u run the installer, it actually uninstalls ur existing drivers, thus u cant see the icon in ur start bar. U need to run the same installer the second time, and everything should work after that.

    Plus, if u dont have a particular need for it, get rid of the two creative software that comes with the laptop. These are known to cause issues with Windows Ease of Access and Steam.

    I agree with Hasib1522, I had the same problem because I had originally uninstalled the realtek drivers. The problem got fixed when I reinstalled those drivers.

    Thank you for such fast response. My problem is solved. Silly me. I just did first step and didnt run driver installation for second time. So now it works well. One more thing. Icon of realtek didnt appear. Strange. Thank you mate one more time. Cheers.

    P.S. I dont know hot it works with reputation points but I gave you one ;)

    SRS Labs - Error

    Unable to find a compatible SRS Audio Device

    Anybod know this error ? Whats wrong with my baby ? :( Thank you friends.

    Sound Retrieval System (SRS) is a psychoacoustic 3D audio processing technology. It's like the Creative software, it's a gimmick. Look in "Programs and Features" for SRS or "SRS Labs" and uninstall it.
