I saw that the default DPI settings for the G73JH is 125%, or 120 pixels per inch. Just to see what 100% looked like, I switched to it but then switched immediately back to 125%.

However, it's not the 125% the computer originally came with. Text within Firefox's menu bar and all right click menus are huge. Also, the ribbons and icons in Office 2007 are huge also, but the text is still the normal 125%. I can't for the life of me figure out why switching back to 125% looks completely different then what the computer came with. Any suggestions? With this new 125% all the icons are stretched out and looks awful!

I might be able to post pictures if someone requests it...

Sorry to hear that... I'm considering the G73 and would probably want to use 125% DPI but I'm worried about problems like this.

It's a configuration problem. I'm not sure what you did, but after my fresh install, the DPI adjustment was the exact same as the factory install.

It sounds like you changed the text DPI but not everything else. There are two areas to set DPI scaling in windows 7, it sounds like you chose the wrong one. All those programs are scaling to fit the bigger text, without the corresponding scaling elsewhere.

EITHER THAT, OR OMG ITz A P/GSOD with FAULTY MEMORY AND BAD SECTORS AND OVERHEATING AND YOU SHOULD RMA IT BECAUSE IT'S ERRORING AND TOTALLY NOT YOUR FAULT ITS TOTALLY ASUS AND THE G73s FAULT BECAUSE I WOULD NEVER MAKEA MISTAKE MUST BE A BIOS ERROR AND I NEED CUSTOM VBIOS NOW OH NOES MY CAPS LOCK IS STUCK ON 2 DA ON POSITION WUT SHULD I DOOOOOOOOOO......
