For owners of this device, how do you like it? To me it seems like a good purchase for this computer as it's my primary gaming machine.

Secondly, for users of this cooler, did you open the service bay on the bottom of the laptop?

Seems like a no-brainer to open it up but I wans't sure if if everyone else thought that way :)

Thanks for the replies in advance!

After a good repaste, I never had the need to use a cooler. I have one, and I do use it just to make using the laptop on my lap more comfortable.

So I bought this thing and it is awesome. Looks sleek and it works really well.

Here are my approximate temps before:

    IDLE GPU: 54-56C
GAMING: 86C-89C (100% GPU utilization in COD Black Ops for 4 hrs)

After (EDIT: I did remove the bottom access panel)

    IDLE GPU: 50-51C
GAMING: 80C - 82C (100% GPU utilization in COD Black Ops for 4 hrs)

Not bad, and I like how it elevates my laptop a bit, looks better and feels easier to type on.

I like it. I have been using one for about 4 months and it makes it easier to type for me. It only makes a small difference on temps but they are noticeable.

    I like mine a lot.
The Massive23 CS is all metal, as compared to the other 2 Massive23 models that are plastic. It's heavier but it's solid.
I usually notice a 5c difference in my G73JH with the cooler on. I leave the access panel on the laptop.

If you planned to game with the laptop on your lap with this cooler you should look somewhere else but if you plan to leave in on a desk, it's great.

Could you give us the model of your lap-friendly one? I also currently have an M23 and it's too heavy to use on your lap.

I use the Targus Chill Mat 17". It's not heavy at all, and runs 2 fans quietly. It's also felted for comfort.
