This will be my first time to own a computer with more than one hard drive, and was wondering if a few people might share some insight.

    1. When you format the hard drive for a fresh install nothing happens to the 2nd hard drive correct? So anything I have such as music, videos, pics will always be there?

    2. Does windows access both hard drives at the same speed, or does it access the hard drive that it's on faster?

    3. If I end up getting a SSD I should put windows on it to make windows run faster correct?

    4. When transferring files between the 2 hard drives it's not instant as if you're just moving files around on the same hard drive, correct?

Any other suggestions, or anything anyone thinks I should know? Thanks!

    1) Correct.
    2) The drives are accessed the same.
    3) I would. Some may have a better use for a SSD as a non-OS drive however. That depends on your needs.
    4) Correct. Moving files/folders on the same drive doesn't require all the data to be moved - only the directory entries need to be changed.
