Had a thunderstorm last night, laptop reverted to battery. Wanted to ask, why it's not charging again, its stuck at 97% and says not charging. Tried plugging in a another power socket, still doesnt work, any ideas?

    Hello,
Does the computer run on the battery without issue and the battery drain as expected?
After you drain the battery to 50% and you connect to the power "brick" (adapter) does it charge the battery to 97%?
On the power "brick" (adapter) is the green "power" light on?
If you remove the battery and plug the notebook into the power "brick" does the computer work?

Just a few quesitons to help isolate the possible problem/solutions.

Because to prevent battery memory and other bad things, the battery will not charge when it's over a certain point, IIRC it's 95%. You have to let it drain a bit then you can recharge again.

naw i never use the battery, i always plug it into electrical slot, the only time it used battery was during the thunderstorm when all electricity went out for a few seconds,

yes it charged to 100 percent when i unpacked it the first time i bought the comp
yes theres a green light still on it,
i unplugged and put into another slot on the multiple but it still doesnt charge to 100% this is what it says if you scroll over

"97% available (plugged in, not charging)"

If you never use battery this shouldn't be a problem at all. Not that it is a problem, anyway.

If it annoys you, just drain it to 94% or lower and plug it back in and it will recharge to 100%.
