So, here is the deal, I updated Direct X yesterday which caused my computer to get Gsods every time I launched a game...

I'm running on Chastity's Vbios and well I thought that Bsods was a done and long forgotten issue, aparently I was wrong.

Is there any relation between the Vbios and the DirectX that might be causing this issue. I know this started when I did that update, since I haven't mess with any drivers for a while now. Or this is only related to the DirectX.

What would be the best curse of action here. Do a system restore to my previous DirectX config or redo the whole Vbios update?

What else you think might cause this? Maybe I need to look into this from a different approach :p

BLUE SODs? I'd re-install the latest Catalyst driver before messing with the video firmware again.

Also check event logs for more clues to what is causing the BSODs.

Did you run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (dxdiag)?

    HOUSTON WE GOT A PROBLEM...

The whole thing started as Gsods, after one crash, I restarted the unit and never got past Windows loading screen, did a hard rebort, and again nothing, ran System Start up Repair... and this just went downhill, The was some random lines apearing on the screen, not even the Asus Logo showed up at restart, shutdown button wouldn't work, had to shut it down from underneath...

I think the Lappy just died on me, I'm gonna try doing a blind update on the Vbios but if that don't work, my laptop is fixing to go met his creators...

    edit:

First, I tought I was getting a Psod, Screen is fine, I'm at ASUS preload wizard which is asking me to what partition I want to recover... Lappy still alive, but on the ICU.

2 hours later... new issue new thread

Its not the Vbios... I just blindflashed to Gary's one succesfully and still having these "gsods" and then blank screens.
