Ok I'm FINALLY setting up my refurbished asus g73, right now I'm just waiting for my windows iso to get done, once that's ready I'll do a clean install AND install the drivers from the stock CD, BUT...
Can I just skip the ati driver from the cd and download the latest one directly from ati website?
And if so, since CCC is somehow gay and usually gave lots of problem even on my old XP, which version of them should I download to get them installed properly? (specially since someone said that the 10.11 release is less staple than the older one)
Thanks for the help!

Also, I've seen no ill effects installing newer Catalyst driver versions over older versions, so even if you install the stock one you really don't need to worry about it.

If you install 10.11 or any other version. The driver disk will detect it and know not to install the ati driver. Also this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...lk-through-doing-clean-windows-7-install.html will show you which driver disk programs you can skip and which you shouldn't.
