    Question about speaker grill for G51VX or G60VX owners

    Ok I just got a used G51VX from eBay for a great price and it looks almost new. However I saw a weird spot on my speaker grill next to my left speaker hole. So I have the laptop open right now and I'm standing in front of it. If I look just to the left of my left round speaker hole, I see what looks like another oval hole right under where the bumper for where the screen rests on it when the laptop is in the closed position. What is that? It doesn't look like there is this same spot to the right of the right speaker. Did my laptop get damaged in shipping? I mean it's a real odd spot to have damage. The laptop looks brand spanking new. Does anyone else have this? Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me. Let me know what you think. I can take pics of it if noone can figure out what I'm talking about. Thanks for all the help. I love this forum.

    Is it a tiny hole? Does a little nub stick out of it? On the G50 around that area was the lid switch that detects when the lid is closed. I can't remember if the G51 had that or not...

    If that's not it, post a pic, it's hard to know what you're talking about exactly.

    Throw up a picture. I've had a few g51s :p

    But as I recall, the speaker grill did look really odd, like they didn't make the mesh fine enough to hide the holes underneath.
