hey I recently bought myself the g73 from best buy and I read in some other thread there are 2 types of monitors. LG and AUO.

I think I have the AUO model and I wanted to ask, how is the LG monitor? and how does it compare to the ones from online vendors?

The LG 1600x900 vs 1920x1080 (Who makes it?)

I might consider just returning this and ordering it online. But I just wanted to ask if its even worth it? There anyone out there who had both of the models and saw a comparison?

You can check your screen type by using the method I posted here. It doesn't give the full model but will give you the manufacturer.

    Cheers,

Right-click on the Desktop, select "Screen resolution" and look at the Display field.
