I have had this Notebook for about 3 months now, and is seems to be working good. I uninstalled ASUS Live Update, for when I tried to use it, any download would take forever.

There are about 89 updates on their (ASUS's) download page for my Notebook. Do I need to update anything, like the BIOS for example. I find that calling ASUS Tech Support is usually of no help.

In my experience I find that unless you have an issue which needs fixing then there is no need/little benefit in downloading and installing updates.

As they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it.... :)

That's also my theory, but I wanted to check to see what someone else thought. Thank you. :)

Not all of them are necessarily updates, several of them are just there for you to download if you need them again.

Agreed, just stick with what ya got if everything seems to be running smoothly :)
