So I recieved my G53 from newegg yesterday and am loving it. I do have a couple questions:
1: How do I use the 'fn' Button?
2: How does the turbo boost button work?
3: How do I get the illuminated keyboard to turn on?
    Thanks for any help.

fn button is the function button, on your f1 till f12 you will see funky looking signs like sound sign etc, the fn button enable you to use that extra function of the buttons.

so for example, hold fn and tap f12 will increase your volume.

    2. enable turbo boost just press the rog button, to the left top of your keyboard is 3 buttons, one of them is the rog button.

    3. press fn and f4, this will increase the brightness of your illuminated keyboard, where fn and f3 will decrease it.

    Should be all :)

Thanks for your response. I knew how to use the Fn button but what I ment was how to make it work. When I hold it and press something like F11 to try and turn down my volume nothing works.

So I've gotten a couple more questions. I got a pop up today saying that windows has noticed my computer is running slow and reccomended I changed my color scheme to help the performance. This happened right after I got done playing metro2033. Is the reason windows noticed my computer running slow because I was playing Metro2033?

SauceBoss, I only have the demo installed on mine, It does not do that. Are all your settings for you video card and windows power options set to high performance before you launch the game?
    Glad to help with ATK

There is an option in the BIOS to turn it on so you do not have to hit the button once you are in windows.
Just to clarify the middle button controls TWIN TURBO the ASUS application, and you need power 4 gear and ATK installed also for it to work.
There is also a registy fix that is needed to correct the timings and get the best performance.
All of this applies to the G73JH
see this thread for more info specific to the G53 http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...in-turbo-useless-but-now-totally-useless.html

^^^ On second thought I would look at the game setting - video - I have it set to 1920x1080 - same as my setting for the video card (ATI CCC). If the game setting is lower resolution than the windows setting some games can cause this message when you exit them. Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display\Screen Resolution will show what windows is set to.( Also Nvidia control panel will show the same settingas ATI CCC does on mine).

Alright thats done and good. Now it seems like the computer is running a little slow lately as in the last day and I've only had it for maybe 3 days. So far I have gone through and removed most of the bloat ware but what I noticed is that I have 4 things installed called Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and then I have two things installed called Microsoft visual C++ 2008. Is it necassary and would it be okay for me to only have the most recent 2008 version.

Also, dont mean to double post but, there are a few other things that I cant seem to figure out.:
    1) Google chrome wont uninstall, I have deleted the files and everything but cant get it to uninstall.
2)The screen will go blank if I leave it for more then what feels like 30sec
    3) It doesnt seem like the graphics are performing as well as they should. For instance, I was playing starcraft 2 earlier, There wasnt a single unit on the screen because I was doing the tutorial yet the FPS was at 20-25 and would occasionaly dip to 5-6. from what I've seen and heard the 460m should be able to play starcraft 2 on ultra and average better then 30fps. Is there any way I could get the gpu to perform better?
    4) For some reason my the gadget that monitors how fast my proccesor is going, It will show that my processor jumps up to 2.69-2.70 for no reason. Is this normal? This tends to only happen when booting up but it will happen when nothing is going on.
