Hey, I was wondering exactly how do you open up the laptop to dust it out? I know how to get the basic shell off which reveals much of the laptop, but I have no idea how to get the heat sink out (I believe its that fan thing?) Basically I want to clean out my entire laptop from dust, because it has been running extremely hot lately (95+ just sitting there, doing nothing). How exactly do I crack into this thing and clean out the dust?

I managed to get the shell open, but I think in order to get deeper into the computer I have to start removing a lot of the components. Does anyone have a walkthrough, video, or anything to help with this?

we'd need to know the model# of your laptop.. 95 celsius is too hot, 95 fahrenheit is just fine

Use compressed air to get the dust out. Spray around the fan and where the air comes out on the side of the notebook.

You most likely would want to repaste the GPU, CPU and possibly northbridge to help with temperatures.

The G51VX is a very hot running notebook, so don't be expecting too much relief.
