I bought this laptop for my wife and did a fresh install recently of Windows 7.

I got all the drivers working again but for some reason I can't figure out how to get the function keys working for the volume control.

Anyone know which driver or utility I need off of the Asus site in order to get that going again?

You need the ATK utilities, I believe its the ATK Hotkey Utility.

They are under ATK on the download drivers site.

Awesome. I grabbed that and the rest of the ATK drivers and the function keys work and the UI she liked is back. Thanks.
