Just have a few quick questions if anyone doesn't mind. I'm currently deployed to the middle east and have had little to no problems with my laptop after doing a vBios update to stop getting the GSOD. Now, I will be re-deploying back to the U.S. in about 2 months and I'll be back to my desktop (finally). While I "would" like to keep this laptop, I would seriously try and get my money back for something more reliable. I ordered it off of AAFES.com and I know they had a no lemon policy but I'm not sure how far that extended to.

Now, for traveling, is it safe to use a laptop that does not have any SSD attached to it? I will be on a plane for over 24 hours and even though the laptop will not last that long on batter power, I can at least watch a movie or two for about 2 hours. I remember reading somewhere on the forums that traveling with a normal spinning hard drive can wreck the laptop.

And I know I'm deployed to a high temperature area, but is 90 degrees breaking 100 sometimes a sign of caution I should be looking out for when gaming? Thanks.

I actually use my 13" laptop in a plane when i travel and my HD is still in good shape, So no problem there. Just don't drop or bang the unit. That's just another different story. I live in the Philippines so sometimes my room temps can go 32c(90) without AC, I noticed my temps increase for about 1-3c. Which is not that noticeable. I recommend repasting your gpu and cpu, It really helps a lot in cooling your g73, especially on hot climates.

Nah, you'll be fine. What would probably cause more of your problems is particulate matter.
