After taking a look around, it seems apparent that there are some issues with the ATK and SmartLogon programs getting "busted" if you remove the Oberon Media pre-loaded flash games. What I haven't seen posted is a simple, straightforward explanation on how to FIX this problem. Well, having just corrected it myself, this guide should help you!

Please note: This was done on an Asus G53SW-XA1. If you have a different G53, or a G73/74. your mileage may vary. Still, it cannot hurt to try, as these corrections are going to utilize the software already on your laptop.

So, you deleted those annoying Oberon Media games, and now your hotkeys do not work? Lost your SmartLogon? What to do? These simple steps should solve it!

    1) The only software I recommend installing, if you haven't already, is CCleaner. I recommend this solely because you should clean your registry at this point to remove any broken registry links caused by the removal of the Oberon Media games. If you know how to do this manually, then you need install nothing. Feel free to use any other alternative software for this purpose with which you are comfortable.

    2) Once you have cleaned up your registry, go to your start menu, search for "add or remove", and click on the "add or remove programs" entry.

    3) Find "Wireless Console 3", and select the "repair" option.

    4) Find the "ATK Package" entry. Again, select "repair".

    5) Find the "ASUS SmartLogon" entry. Finally, select "repair".

    6) Reboot. You may need to re-enable SmartLogon to get it working again, should you choose to use it. I imagine you would if you made the effort to fix it. Check to make sure that all of your hotkeys are working, and that Power4Gear is working properly. Pay close attention to the FN+F2 key to ensure that it is properly toggling your WiFi/Bluetooth.

6a) IF the FN+F2 key is still not working properly, you may need to repair Wireless Console 3 again.

    7) PROFIT!

I hope this will be some help to folks, as it does seem like a much bigger problem than it really is when it happens. It's a relatively simple fix, but it's a problem that (at least in my opinion) should never have happened in the first place.
