Asus isn't my specialty as you can see by my sig lol

    So about this G73JW-A1..

    - What kind of SATA ports does this laptop have? SATA II 3.0 GB/s?

    - Can it run RAID 0 since it has 2 hard drives?

    - Can the video card be upgraded to lets say a Nvidia GTX 485M ??

    - What port is for the video card ? (MXM 3.0b)?

    - Does it support XMP? (Would be nice if I can squeeze 1600Mhz out of ram)

    Any help is appreciated!

Oh, and maybe some personal feedback on the screen quality would be nice too :)

    1. Sata(II?) 3.0GB/s
    2. Doesn't support RAID0
    3. Can try but would need to think a way to cool the back/front memory chips.
    4. MXM3.0b
    5. Not sure what is it :D
About Screen quality, the stock screen isn't very nice in places that have sun shine shooting in, if you see the Matte screen option, go for it. G73JW-3DE has a Matte screen (120Hz) as well.
G73JW can't take full advantage of 1600DDR3 RAMs because the HM55 chipset only supports gen 1 i3 i5 i7 CPUs (As far as I know!). If you are looking for better transfer speed on RAM and SATA port, take a look at G73SW, it supports 1600DDR3 RAMs if you upgrade your CPU to either 2720/2820/2920 and the SATA ports are 6.0GB/s.

But at this moment I'd say wait for G74SX if you are looking for ASUS gaming laptops, it should be out some time this year. Most spec are the same as G73SW just the G74SX comes with a GTX560M.
