I am considering buying a G74SX for gaming, and one of the few things I am unclear about is RAID support. It seems like the chipset doesn't support hardware RAID, yet I read some mentions of people running RAID configurations on this machine and getting some crazy speeds out of dual SSDs in RAID0. Wasn't able to follow up there though, the guy disappeared.

    Any hard data on this?

No there is no RAID driver so they must be confused whoever said it, software RAID driver if that is possible at best but there is no point you might as well just use a primary SSD.

If you have Win7 Professional, Ultimate or Enterprise, you can do software RAID (although not for the boot partition).
