After I got a beta invitation, excitedly I downloaded the client and plunged into the game. I have to say that I'm disappointed with the optimization of this game. I have the asus g73jh. I have played around with the video settings and I can't seem to get more than 30-ish fps even without aa and only environment shadows. I was hyped about this game, but I don't think I'll buy it if things stay this way (medium settings, no aa makes this non-attractive game look downright ugly at times).
    Please share your experiences
PS: my graphic card is clocked at 800/1250.

I'm sure as the game is finalized, the boys at AMD will have an optimized profile for the game.

Even on a dual card rig with extreme processor the best I've seen is 70 FPS on lowest settings and 30 FPS on ultra. Which means of you want 60 FPS you'd have to run on low even on my rig. There is just not that much difference in framerate like you would expect. WoW is like 10 times the FPS on low compared to ultra, so there is plenty of room for tweaking your settings while here there is little you can do. Maybe there is some artificial setting holding back the FPS in the game itself kinda like they do in some console ports?

I will say this, it does seem smooth even on low framerates though (20-30 can be fairly smooth when normally I would call it choppy). Seems like many newer games are that way with all of the latest effects of motion blur and bloom etc.

AMD is kinda late with optimization, not in all games, but they dont like to while the game still on development, same happen with SC2. I would wait for the game to be released and maybe couple of catalysts to see if the optimize it.

Either way in MMOs in my case 30fps is fine, its not like FPS games where i do like 60, but this is very relative to each.

Yeah i played the game on saturday, and put settings on ultra. game was getting constant 35 fps. this is on normal clock speeds (700, 1000). When i put settings down to high i was getting 46fps. so i left it at that. The game is good. However i still prefer soul of the ultimate nation - sun online. Maybe because its free lol.

you have the best buy version. lower res screen -> better fps. even 35 is playable. what i get at ultra/high in full hd res in pretty much unplayable even with OC
