You will have to RMA it, or find a place that can reflash it. I think the guy from GenTech can do it, you may ask him. If you go through Asus, I would just be straight up. Tell them you tried to flash the BIOS and it bricked. At least that way they know what to do to fix it instead of having to monkey around diagnosing the problem.

i tried to flash it back , because i read that the beta vBIOS installation works better with 209. Hm ok, i had the fear that changing the bios would have to do with the warranty...

No big difference with BIOS 209, the beta vBIOS is a failure with that too.

Downgrading from 211 to 209 -shouldn't- be an issue though, should it?

No, if TC could post what he did wrong then none of us would have this happen.

Strange, I've gone from 206->209->211 using EZflash loading straight from C:

So is 209 really better than 211 for the hacked up/beta vBIOS?

That would be very unfair to the early adopters of 211.

Since 211 is an official update, the new vBios should be stable/work with 211.

But since its relatively safe to flash down back to 209 using Ezflash+USB thumbdrive in FAT32, shouldn't be much of an issue I guess.

Indeed it would be unfair, but this laptop is quite backwards as far as things working are concerned :p

It doesn't always fail, but it can, so it's best to avoid.
