    My ROG GL 752VW came with a 1Tb hard drive. It has an M.2 socket as well. I want to remove the hard drive and replace it with solid state drive. I was wondering if the laptop can be run on the M.2 Card only? Or does it always need a drive in the hard drive slot.

    You only need a boot drive, anything would do. It can be left empty.
