This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Wait no Gsync bot no Optimus too? If you gonna force Nvidia GPU to work all the time why not putting Gsync there? It does not make any sense...

    Hi guys. I'm looking to replace an aged asus. Has anyone tried to see if this model functions without a battery? I'm concerned about longevity and after a while old batteries run warm. Don't want to be stuck with a nonfunctioning laptop once the batteries need replacing and by that time I'm sure they wont be readily available. I've left similar questions with asus and a few forums but can't seem to get an answer.
