I have a ASUS-G73SW-XT1 and now that I am using it regularly, I have noticed that it occasionally freezes up for a minute (on average) then resumes normally.

I have upgraded it to have a 120GB SSD as the Primary HD.
I have 3 desktop widgets that track HD usage, CPU usage, and Overclocking

    What it allows:
    Mouse/Trackpad still moves normally
Clock widget second hand keeps moving
Hovering over windows and start button will highlight, but not allow clicks
Graphics on the screen update normally (such as widgets) but can not interact with them.

    What it doesn't allow:
No actual input. However, it buffers it, and releases it all when the freeze is over. All the clicks and all the typing.

What I have noticed when it happens:
The Overclock meeter spikes - up to the max and stays there.
Individual cores in the processor flatline
Usage on the Hard Drives flatlines
Hard Drive light is on steady.

IF I am in the middle of something, like logging in, or installing something, it will lock up for MUCH longer. I have always rebooted, so I don't know how long it goes, but at least 10 mins minimum. While it does though, different processor cores spike to 100% for a few seconds, then drop to 0%.

It happens most frequently, shortly after logging in, or sometimes during login.

My Modifications to stock model G73SW-XT1
Installed my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
120 GB SSD SATA III as Primary
500 GB HDD SATA III as secondary

If there is any more information that you need to help me diagnose, let me know.

    Any Ideas?

    just one thing.

    Is that A crucial c300?
    Or a m4?
It used to give identical issues because of an incompatibility with Intel Rapid storage technology, wich is bypassed by:
    1 using MS Ahci driver
2 using the Registry tweak which I have listed in my signature and I still use.

That is what I can recomend right now, if you have a different SSD MODEL, try googling said SSD model on google and look for freezes with intel motherboards.

Good Luck and keep us up to date.
