Hey everyone. I just attempted to repaste my G73, following a couple guides on this forum, and now it won't turn on as it says in the title. First thing I did was check that the wifi wires weren't covering the reset button, and they were not. There is a strange symptom that may help someone diagnose my problem. I plug my cord into the wall and the green light turns on on the adapter. As soon as I plug the cord into my computer the green light turns off. So it seems that my laptop won't accept power. I've already disassembled and reassembled a second time, checking all my connections and looking for anything that I missed, with no change in results.

Thanks for any and all help. I appreciate it.

I'm no expert, but it sounds like you have a short somewhere in the laptop. You could always try another power supply to rule that out, but my money is on the problem being somewhere in the laptop itself.

A short would make sense. I guess it's probably due to damage to one of the components. I'll probably have to take it to a shop as this seems beyond my capabilities.

Thanks tijo. Anyone else have any ideas?
