    Hey there,

This may be a dumb question, but here goes. My Asus G50 stopped working the other day, won't turn on even though all the lights come on. I recently bought a G72, and I want to recover information from my hard drives of the G50. Is there an easy way I can do this?

If the hard drives are still functioning, I would get an external enclosure and put them in there. You can connect it to the new computer and you should be able to pull the necessary files.

Even better, if the G72 has only 1 hard drive installed you can just put the old drive into the G72 and use it as extra storage with access to all your old files. You might need to somehow wipe the bootloader off the drive though (or maybe you can disable booting from that drive in the BIOS?).
