I'm trying to restore from the recovery partition. Pressing F9, however, just gets me to a windows boot option menu, with nothing at all relating to the recovery partition. Is there some sub-menu that I'm missing?

I can boot into a memory diagnostic or Windows 7. The advanced options for booting into Windows 7 include a system restore option, but nothing in there recognized my recovery partition.

I haven't deleted my recovery partition, or changed any of my partitions at all, as far as I know. Help?

Does the link to create the recovery DVDs work?

    Cheers,

When you press power, you'll see

    (or similar)
However, as soon as the ASUS logo disappears from the screen (boot up) press "F8", when you get the Windows DOS menu,

the first option should be "Repair Your Computer", select that, and it'll do a factory reinstall, returning it to the state it was when you first pressed "Power".
