Just curious since I have no care to install the ASUS Power4Gear utility just to get the TT button ability, if anyone has an idea of how to remap the TT button on our G73's? Ideally I would like to have it remap to something like a script to enable and disable an overclock using setFSB and/or AMD GPU Clock Tool.

If not no big deal but it would be cool to have that button do what it was supposed to without messing with the perfectly fine Windows Power Management.

(And I know the TT normally isn't a big boost to performance or can even be a drop, but I don't plan to play with it just at the ASUS set FSB setting. ;)

There is a fix on the last page of the originally referenced thread. It involves hex editing the hcontrol.exe file to remove a " %d" that puts a number after the event it is looking for. With the edit you remove the extra reference and it all starts working.

    Got the same issue.
Going to try The Beast's fix he found.

Anyone know of a way to make a toggle script though? I have 2 .bat files pointing to my stock FSB and my OC FSB but I am not sure how to make it swap between the 2 without having to use 2 buttons.

I am a hardware guy at heart. I can't write code for crap lol.

EDIT: Bamn! Works like a charm after the Hex.

So Now whenever I feel the need for speed, just slap the turbo button for 1.9Ghz MWhahahaha.. (And use the S button next to it for Snake... Er Dragon.. Whatever.) (or just "stock" ;)

Here is the modded Hotkey.exe file with the HEX fix applied. (For those who don't know how/want to mess with it). Just replace the one in "C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ATK Package\ATK Hotkey"

I apologize for reviving an old thread, but how exactly do I go about using the supplied modded hotkey.zip? I know where/how to replace the file, but say I wanted the TT button to activate a setting in setfsb and the monitor button in the AMD GPU clock tool, while having p4g installed. How and can I do this?
