So I'm in the process of replacing my g73jh screen(all apart waiting on ups guy) and am wondering what I can do with the old one. Obviously I could sell it on ebay but that's boring. What have you guys done? I would like to use it as a secondary monitor but the connector looks pretty proprietary.

you can make it a second screen but need an LVDS controller and interface such as:
Systemation - ADP 105 USB to LVDS Adapter Board
but thats alot of work. other than that they make great spares for friends that break a screen or you can dismantle the assembly and render it into misc junk
for further reference please do not bump a thread for 24hrs -
Well, if you have some cash to burn and you're a DIYer, you could always get a LVDS to DVI controller like KCETech1 said and make a chassis to turn it into a full fledged monitor.
