I've opened up my G73JH to resolder the power jack (and to repaste- may as well while it's open) and, due to rank incompetence, my keyboard has been rendered worthless. >.> I'm looking to buy a replacement, and Hong Kong has knockoffs aplenty, but none seem to have a backlight panel, which I would like to have as mine was destroyed in the keyboard incident. Does anyone know where I can buy either a keyboard with an intact backlight or a separate light panel which I can add to an existing knockoff?

Maybe Asus still has some on the estore, if they don't, asusparts.eu or ebay should have some. Most Asus backlit keyboards from their older G series like the G51 should fit as well. The keyboard for the G73, G53 and G51Jx are all the same and i'm pretty sure a G60 keyboard would fit as well. As long as it's the keyboard with numpad and the 5 latches to keep it in place, it'll fit.

If i remember correctly ALLurGroceries used a keyboard from an older G series model since he didn't like the stock G73 keyboard, i've disassembled both my G73 and N50 and i can say that the N50 keyboard would fit on my G73, but it has no backlight.

You're welcome, if you ever want to do a color mod on your G73, now would be the time. Well, when you receive your keyboard.
